Cookie Notice

This notice explains the cookies and comparable browser or network technologies used on induscoat.com. A cookie is a small value stored by a website in a browser. Some technologies do not place a cookie but can still process request, device or usage information; they are described here so the inventory reflects the visitor experience rather than only the browser’s cookie list.

The current site does not use advertising, social-media, cross-site behavioural tracking or remarketing cookies. It has one first-party language-preference cookie. Cookie-free audience measurement loads only when Plausible Analytics has been configured for the deployment. Hosting, content-delivery and security infrastructure can also create technical logs; those logs are not browser cookies.

NEXT_LOCALE is written only when you explicitly choose a language in the site selector. It lets the root entry page respect that choice on a later visit. The localized URL itself — no prefix for English, /fr for French, /es for Spanish and /de for German — remains the primary indication of the language for the page you are viewing.

When a visitor opens the exact root entry page and no valid language preference exists, the hosting edge can add an approximate ISO country code and, for Canada, a province code to the request. The application maps that signal to English, French, Spanish or German and otherwise falls back to English. It does not use browser GPS, Wi-Fi positioning or precise coordinates.

This language decision does not itself write a geolocation cookie, and the application’s routing logic does not retain the country or province. The hosting and security infrastructure may process ordinary request information in technical logs independently of this routing decision. An explicit language cookie takes priority on the root page, and localized or deep links remain stable.

Plausible Analytics is loaded only when a Plausible domain or approved site-specific script has been configured for the deployment. The implementation is cookie-free and does not use local storage to create a persistent visitor identifier. It is intended to produce aggregate audience and content-performance statistics rather than follow a person across websites.

Normal page measurement can include the visited page, referring source and broad technical or geographic statistics produced by the service from a request. Induscoat’s custom conversion events are deliberately limited to three site-controlled properties: interface language, canonical public path and a structural context identifying the type of action. Contact-form values, free-text messages, email addresses, query strings and URL fragments are not included in those custom properties.

Cookie-free does not by itself settle every legal question in every country. The responsible organization assesses the measurement configuration, purpose, data flows and local rules. If a jurisdiction or future configuration requires prior consent or an opt-out, an appropriate control must be presented before the affected non-essential processing begins.

A website request necessarily passes through network, content-delivery, hosting and security systems. Depending on their configuration, these systems can process and temporarily record an IP address, timestamp, requested path, response status, request headers, browser or device class, approximate network location and security signals. These records support delivery, rate control, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, incident investigation and service reliability.

Technical logs are not used by the site code to create an advertising profile and are not the NEXT_LOCALE cookie. Their exact retention and access depend on the infrastructure configuration and applicable security or legal requirements. They can be shared with a provider or authority only where needed for the service, incident handling, a legal obligation or the protection of rights and systems.

Most browsers let you inspect, delete or block cookies globally or for one site. Consult your browser’s privacy settings for current instructions. Blocking all cookies can affect preferences on this and other sites. On induscoat.com, deleting NEXT_LOCALE removes only the remembered language preference; content remains available through the localized URLs.

The current interface does not display a general cookie banner because the site code contains only the first-party functional language preference described above and, when configured, cookie-free audience measurement without advertising profiles. This statement describes the current design; it is not a universal conclusion that every cookie-free measurement is exempt from consent in every jurisdiction.

Before introducing a non-essential cookie, local-storage identifier, personalization, embedded advertising, social tracking or a materially different analytics setup, the responsible organization must reassess purpose, necessity, transparency, legal basis, providers, transfers and local consent rules. Where prior consent is required, the technology must remain inactive until a valid choice is made, refusal must be as accessible as acceptance, and withdrawal must be available.

This notice is updated when the cookie inventory, analytics setup, language routing or legal requirements materially change. The review date at the top identifies the latest published review. Material new non-essential technology will be described before or when it becomes active, with a choice mechanism where required.
