Cookie Notice

This notice explains the cookies and comparable browser or network technologies used on induscoat.com. A cookie is a small value stored by a website in a browser. Some technologies do not place a cookie but can still process request, device or usage information; they are described here so the inventory reflects the visitor experience rather than only the browser’s cookie list.

Since 23 August 2026 the site loads Google Analytics 4 for audience measurement. That change replaced a cookie-free counter and it adds cookies: GA4 writes two first-party cookies and sends the measurement to Google. The site also keeps one first-party language-preference cookie. It does not use advertising, social-media, cross-site behavioural tracking or remarketing cookies, and the Analytics property is not linked to a Google Ads account. Hosting, content-delivery and security infrastructure can also create technical logs; those logs are not browser cookies.

NEXT_LOCALE is written only when you explicitly choose a language in the site selector. It lets the root entry page respect that choice on a later visit. The localized URL itself — no prefix for English, /fr for French, /es for Spanish and /de for German — remains the primary indication of the language for the page you are viewing.

When a visitor opens the exact root entry page and no valid language preference exists, the hosting edge can add an approximate ISO country code and, for Canada, a province code to the request. The application maps that signal to English, French, Spanish or German and otherwise falls back to English. It does not use browser GPS, Wi-Fi positioning or precise coordinates.

This language decision does not itself write a geolocation cookie, and the application’s routing logic does not retain the country or province. The hosting and security infrastructure may process ordinary request information in technical logs independently of this routing decision. An explicit language cookie takes priority on the root page, and localized or deep links remain stable.

Google Analytics 4 is used to understand which pages, languages and technical topics are useful to industrial visitors, and which calls to action are used — not to build an advertising profile or to follow a person across other websites. It is a measurement technology, not an essential one, so it is loaded only after you accept it in the banner. Until then, and permanently if you refuse, the Google library is not requested at all: no gtag.js download, no measurement, no Analytics cookie. The site behaves identically either way.

Google Analytics 4 writes two first-party cookies on the induscoat.com domain. Their names, purposes and durations are published by Google and reproduced here.

The measurement is transmitted to Google, which processes it on infrastructure that can be located outside the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada and Morocco, including in the United States. In addition to the properties described above, Google can process ordinary request information such as the IP address, which it uses to derive an approximate location and then discards or truncates according to its own documented behaviour for Analytics. Google acts on Induscoat’s instructions for the Analytics service and applies its own terms, security measures and transfer mechanisms.

Google Analytics applies a retention period to user-level and event-level data, selected in the property from the options Google offers. Aggregate reporting can remain available beyond that period. Induscoat does not receive a list of individual visitors from Analytics and does not attempt to re-identify one; a contact request reaches Induscoat through the email address you write to, not through the measurement.

A website request necessarily passes through network, content-delivery, hosting and security systems. Depending on their configuration, these systems can process and temporarily record an IP address, timestamp, requested path, response status, request headers, browser or device class, approximate network location and security signals. These records support delivery, rate control, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, incident investigation and service reliability.

Technical logs are not used by the site code to create an advertising profile and are not the NEXT_LOCALE cookie. Their exact retention and access depend on the infrastructure configuration and applicable security or legal requirements. They can be shared with a provider or authority only where needed for the service, incident handling, a legal obligation or the protection of rights and systems.

Most browsers let you inspect, delete or block cookies globally or for one site. Consult your browser’s privacy settings for current instructions. Blocking all cookies can affect preferences on this and other sites. On induscoat.com, deleting NEXT_LOCALE removes only the remembered language preference; content remains available through the localized URLs.

A banner asks for a decision on the first visit, before Google Analytics 4 is loaded. Accepting and refusing are presented as two buttons of the same size and the same prominence, and neither is preselected. Closing the page without answering counts as no consent: nothing is measured. The decision is recorded in your browser’s local storage under induscoat.consent, together with its date, so you are not asked again on every page.

Withdrawal is as easy as acceptance. The “Measurement choice” control in the footer of every page reopens the banner, and refusing there stops any further measurement. Google Consent Mode is initialized with analytics and advertising storage denied, so a tag added later inherits refusal rather than starting from acceptance. Advertising, remarketing, personalization and cross-site tracking are not enabled at all on this site, with or without consent.

The language-preference cookie NEXT_LOCALE and the record of your measurement decision are not covered by that banner. They exist only because you acted — choosing a language, or answering the banner — and storing a refusal is what makes the refusal last. Before introducing any further non-essential technology, the responsible organization must reassess purpose, necessity, transparency, legal basis, providers, transfers and local consent rules, and present a choice before the processing begins.

This notice is updated when the cookie inventory, analytics setup, language routing or legal requirements materially change. The review date at the top identifies the latest published review. Material new non-essential technology will be described before or when it becomes active, with a choice mechanism where required.
